Torang Abedian is an Iranian filmmaker. She is the Director, Producer and one of the editors of Not an illusion. She was born in Tehran and grew up during the war between Iraq and Iran. Michael Hudecek, Editing Supervisor:
The Austrian Film editor, Michael Hudecek, is an internationally acclaimed and experienced editor who is concerned with human stories as well as music and art. He is also a musician and has worked on many films. He is notable for editing Caché (Hidden) directed by Michael Haneke, which was nominated for the Golden Palm in Cannes. Michael Hudecek won the best European editor award for Caché. Gams Film & Music, Off line Film Editing.
Turaj Aslani, Camera:
Turaj Aslani is from the Kurdestan province of Iran, and a well-known cameraman of Iran’s new generation. He has shot many fiction films and docu-dramas in Iraq and Iran, Some of which have won international prizes and have been noted for their camera work. These include Riverside, Tiny Snowflakes (Alireza Amini), Butterflies (Mohammad Moayeri) and Twenty Fingers (Mania Akbari ) as well as many other films .
Christopher Hird, Associate Producer:
Christopher Hird is a leading figure in UK independent documentary making. He is chair of the Channel Four Britdoc Foundation (www.britdoc.org); a trustee of the Grierson Trust (www.griersontrust.org), the Wincott Foundation (www.wincott.co.uk) and the freedom of expression organisation Index on Censorship (www.indexoncensorship.org). Dartmouth Films is his day job and his fourth career.
Rouhollah Rezaie, Editor:
He was born in Tehran but grew up in Khomein, a small religious city in central Iran. He was involved in Theatre at first but later on when he moved to Tehran he went to Honar University and studied Cinema. He specialized in Editing and was a student of Bahram Dehghani. He has worked on various documentary films as editor such as Baade dabour by Mohammad Rasoulof and Treasure of Hormoz route by Soleiman Sharifpour.
